An entrepreneur herself, Ms. Traveland provides practical, common sense advice to her clients. She has vast experience representing entrepreneurs and helping them start and grow their businesses. She has provided advice to clients on a broad range of issues such as the establishment of business entities, partnership agreements, employment matters, e-commerce agreements, licensing agreements, trademarks, distribution agreements, general corporate matters, and much more. She provides advice and counsel on the legal aspects of day-to-day business operations and helps businesses minimize their liabilities. Ms. Traveland also provides advice and counsel to several non-profit corporations with respect to obtaining tax-free status and other corporate matters.

Ms. Traveland is also an entrepreneur. She was the founder and chief chocolatier of Chocolate Prescription, LLC. She built the business from idea to product to market. Chocolate Prescription was in the gift bags to the presenters for the 2010 Academy Awards. In 2013, she sold the assets of the company to focus more on her law practice.

In May 2001, Power Media Group’s Texas Technology Magazine awarded her the Technologist of the Year Award in the Legal Division. Ms. Traveland was a founder of the North Texas Chapter of Women in Technology International for which she served as Communications Director from May 1998 until July 2002. Ms. Traveland is also a co-founder of the Alliance of Technology and Women, a non-profit organization that empowers women in technology. She is a proud lifetime member of the Girl Scouts.
